5 Tips To Get Better Photos Of Your Dog
Now we all think our dog is the best dog in the world.... and we're all right! But sometimes its hard to show how gorgeous our puppies are in photos.
Here are my 5 tips for achieving better photos of your best fluffy friend!
1. Sitting
The most helpful thing for getting great pics of your dog is making sure they sit when you ask. Its a super easy trick to teach and one your dog will probably already know!
If your puppy is so young it doesn't know sit yet then just wait until they're lying down preparing to nap.
This is the easiest way of getting a great photo, if your pup is sitting patiently you can get as many shots as possible!

2. Treats
Make sure you have some tasty treats or your pups favourite toy in hand to get their attention and their gorgeous gaze exactly where you want it.
A second person is best for this but it is totally doable on your own too!

3. Clean Puppy
This one seems obvious but you never know! Make sure your pup is nice and clean. Check for eye boogers or specks of dirt and give them a quick brush.
I can't tell you how many times I've taken an otherwise great picture of my dog and hes got little gooey bits near his eyes.
Super annoying!

4. Relax
Make sure your dog is nice and relaxed!
Try and limit other distractions in the place where you're trying to take the photos.
For
example if there's 4 other dogs and a cat and someone cooking dinner
around your dogs going to find it difficult to pay attention.
5. Action shots
If you want photos of your dog in action, (playing, chasing etc) then the easiest way to capture this is to get situated with your camera and then to get as someone else in the family to play with the pup right where you're pointing and click away! Also make sure you're shooting continuously, i.e taking multiple shots at a time, dogs have a great habit of blinking or moving just a little bit exactly as you take a pic. This can also lead to some hysterical blooper photos that you will cherish, I promise.
And a final bonus tip!
Make sure you have the focus on your dogs eyes! This really makes your photos pop and after all the eyes are the window to the soul.
(For an alternative/very cute pic place your focus on their nose and get super close! Hilarious and adorable all at the same time.
Also have your pup facing a light source to achieve the beautiful catch lights in their eyes!
